FOUNDATION OF TRUST
CMg Design’s relationship of over 20 years with Mercury is built on a foundation of trust. We have grown into year-round responsibility for designing hundreds of pieces for Mercury’s stakeholders, including employees, shareholders, and analysts, and its diverse markets and customer base throughout the US. We collaborate with Mercury’s outside agencies and internal advertising department to unify all design needs from print to web to social.

CORPORATE REBRAND
Mercury’s logo, largely unchanged for most of the company’s 53-year history, had anchored the brand and connected with consumers, but wasn’t flexible enough for today’s digital environment.
CMg and Mercury concluded it was better to evolve, rather than replace, the existing logo; the
redesigned logo we delivered was launched in one day in coordinated campaigns on TV,
billboards, and social platforms, and had these elements:
- cleanly stacked text that gives almost equal emphasis to both words that comprise the company name
- a simpler, but more dynamic, version of the road graphic featured in the original logo
- a flexible image that is compatible with multiple digital environments, to position Mercury Insurance for many years to come




MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS
